On Friday, November 8th, the Ankeny Hawks faced the Iowa City Liberty Lightning in the second round of the playoffs.

Ava Gifford is a Senior at Ankeny High School. She is involved in Spanish Honors Society, writing sports stories and taking sports photos for the Talon. Ava works at the Creamery, enjoys photography, writes music, and plays the piano and guitar. One fun fact about Ava is that her favorite season is fall because she loves fall drinks and  football season.

Levi Foster, Social Media Editor
Levi Foster is a senior at Ankeny High School. He is the social media editor and covers sports as well. In his spare time, he likes to play volleyball and pickleball, hang out with friends and family, and likes sports photography. After high school, he plans to go to Iowa State for a degree in journalism. He also wants to start his own photography business down the line.
