![The 2022-2023 school year has been the first year at Ankeny High for many administrators including Principal Dr. Daniel Johnson. The first full week of the school year 2023-2024 is coming to a close. After saying goodbye to 10 hawksome educators last year, we now welcome 13 new faces ranging from academic interventionists, science teachers, English teachers, and football coaches. Teachers with different backgrounds and expertise have begun meeting, coaching, and teaching new students in their respective classes and activities. They look forward to a year of building relationships with students and staff.
Acclimating to new surroundings is always difficult, but these teachers are confident and they are going to nail it. These new Hawk educators optimistically and excitedly shared with The Talon, their interests and some of the things they are most looking forward to this school year.
