The Ankeny Hawks run out onto the field before the game on October 31st. The Hawks fell to the Southeast Polk Rams 21-14 in the first round of the 5A state playoffs.Ankeny Cheerleaders perform a cheer before the game, the cheer team recently just won first place in the Iowa High School Cheerleading Championships Cheer Dance – Coed Division.Junior Parker Olsen plays the national anthem on guitar before the game. Senior running back Daniel Larmie escapes a tackle from a SEP defender. Larmie recorded 58 yards and 1 touchdown over 14 attempts. Senior Kael Roush dodges a Ram defender rushing towards the gap in the Southeast Polk defense. Roush ran for 20 yards over 3 carries. Seniors Ryan Pruin, Nathan Richmond, and Andrew Brandhorst, and Junior Garrett Bauer celebrate after a touchdown by Brandhorst. The Ankeny defense takes down a SEP receiver. The defense put up 53.5 tackles, 19 solo, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception

Bryant is a senior at Ankeny High School. He is involved in the band and the Talon. Outside of school, he enjoys watching movies and sports, spending time with his family, and playing the trumpet and drums after high school. Bryant plans to attend a 4-year college to major in Graphic Design and work in Sports Media.
